The first one, which I was blown away by, was incredible, and you've found a way to make an excellent thing even better. I truly admire this work, because it's something that can really make everyone think, because it relates to everyone. That said, this was fantastic. Thank you for taking me on this journey again.

Wow.

I just wanna say that this game is amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the game. At first, when they just kept layering controls on you, I thought that it would become too hard of a game, but after learning everything, which isn't much, it's pretty simple, and effective.

I'd like to take a moment to talk about the atmosphere this game presents. The aura of mysteriousness is so real and creepy, it's absorbent. With the lack of backstory, it really presents this feeling that you really have forgotten everything. With the knowledge that's presented in the game, you truly hear some terrifying facts in that world. It lets you immerse yourself in a world that isn't real, but, in some sadistic way, can relate to.

With all that said, I would love to see you continue this series. It's very cool. I give this my full ten stars.

Not bad. Not good, but not the worst.

I don't really understand how you'll be able to work this into a game, but it's cool to see how the algorithmic formula for RPG's works. Maybe this'll come in handy someday.

Darkot responds:

Its still quite glitchy though xP This will pretty much be the base of what the game will be built on, the functions that run in the background behind all the animations and such. Of course, this version of it is pretty crappy still, but we're hoping to find some better AS3 programmers than I soon.

Pretty good.

This was pretty good for a classic remake. I was able to drop a few minutes into the game, and the implementation of a high score system caught me off guard, but I really liked it. Good work.

Decent defense game.

Had all the elements of what your standard defense game would have. Nothing spectacular presented other than setting for a few people. I'm not a fan of Beiber, so that's my only qualms with this. Nonetheless, it was decent, and I dropped a half hour into the game, so I have to give 5 stars. Decent work.

This is ridiculously good.

I'd say that of which many before me have probably said...Fuck it. This game is so fun, but the nightmare boss is so hard it really just killed it for me. After about 10 hours put in to this game, 14 or 15 attempts at the boss, I realized that it was never gonna happen. I love that you had the balls to make that boss so hard, and the consequences for losing so harsh that many players would probably get so frustrated that they just quit. It wasn't the case with me, but when I first saw that I was losing all the hard work I put in, I thought was a lot of shit. Like I said though, it's a great idea, I'm glad you did it. You've got a lot of balls, and possibly too much balls if there's such a thing. Another problem I had was the dash ability was too easily activated. I can't think of a good solution, but there was many a time when I would go to move just a little bit, and would end up dashing to the nearest wall and losing some health and being knocked out. That was a little frustrating. I'm only giving this a 7 because although this game is fun to play, this shares many of the same problems other platformers share on major consoles, or even in flash format. I dig this game, I just see the same frustrations. I'm still gonna play the sequel, and as someone below me said, this game's medals were ridiculously hard to get. I only got maybe 6 or 7, and the 100% game completion would be a nice addition, but I only got 99.5% missing 2 codex entries. I assume that one was the black gems in the nightmare boss, but the one below the codex entry in codex is still unknown.

To sum this up. It's a great game, definitely worthy of all the recognition it's received and more. I hope that you as a gamer can see the problems I see, and at least take them into consideration in your next game. I hope this detailed review is helpful. I try to make this as informative as possible to other gamers, and to the author, himself. I'll see the next installment soon, I hope. But stay classy.

Great game.

I loved this game, but what didn't make it perfect to me was the difficulty. It was still amazing, but I never even finished the boss battle. Don't let my quams stop you from animating though. This is a great idea that was greatly put together. It's definitely a 5/5, but to me, not perfect. Still a great game.

It's not bad.....

But it's not good. Using sprites is okay, for this game. But try to make the battle system funner. It was kinda bland and uninteresting. Not bad for a game, but not worth the full play.

Nice...

I'm amazed that people still have the balls to make card based games, but this one did well. It's very good, especially for a flash game, and should make it past judgement easily. I love this game although I'm not very good at it lol. But way to go, enjoy the fame.

Amazing...

Very challenging. I loved it, but I'm not very good at it lol.

I'm a musician irl, and a critic on Newgrounds. You might see some submissions from me. You probably won't.
